Visiting a media organizaiton to learn about its management practicesIndustry Visit01-08-2025The students of first year MA Mass Communication and Journalism visited various media organizations in the month of July-August 2025 to get acquainted with the workings of these organizations. On the 23rd of July, 2025, a group of students visited Samyuktha Karnataka, a leading Kannada publication. The students were given the opportunity to interact with the chief editor of the paper and the editors of the publication and were given a glimpse of the work culture, gaining practical exposure into the workings of the print industry. The students also visited Dentsu Aegis Network, a global advertising leader with a 120-year history, now operating in over 145 countries. On July 17, 2025, students visited Radio Indigo 91.9 FM in Bengaluru to gain practical exposure to the working of a private radio station. The session helped them understand the organizational structure of private radio station and helped them gain insights into the operational challenges radio faces and the dynamic nature of the industry. On 7 August 2025, students visited Republic Kannada, a leading Kannada news channel in Bengaluru, and understood the functions of a television newsroom in-depth. On July 29, 2025, students visited LastBench, a boutique film studio in Indiranagar to observe how filmmaking takes shape in a professional setting. During the visit, students interacted with professionals to understand the workflow behind film production.
