Programme Details
To keep up with the latest developments and needs of the IT industry, the University provides a comprehensive syllabus for various subjects, including Cloud Computing, Database Design, Advanced Data Structures, Web Applications Development, Mobile Applications Development, Data Mining and Deep Learning, Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Block Chain Technology, and AI, which are all part of the two-year MCA programme. This programme comprises three semesters of coursework and an internship in the industry.
Located in Bangalore with 143 years of experience in education and extensive industry contacts, St Joseph's University will help place students in top-tier companies. Additionally, the Department will provide regular training in aptitude tests, technical tests, and soft skills training to prepare aspiring software professionals to be industry-ready.
Admission & Selection Process
Admission Process : The applicants must fill in complete information on the online application form and upload all required certificates (whatever is available) and photos.
Selection Process : The candidates have to appear for an entrance test. The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. There are two rounds in the interview. Once the final interview is over, candidates have to pay their course fee within 3 days and the mode of payment must be online. The dates of the interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates and will be announced on the website.

Eligibility
- Graduates of BCA/BSc (Computer Science), BE (Computer Science), BCom (with Computer Science as one of the subjects) with at least 55% marks in core subjects (excluding languages) are eligible. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks are 45%.

Note:
- Please note: if admitted, the fee must be paid in full within the time prescribed in the Admit Intimation.
- To claim the Karnataka category fee, the candidates should have studied the last 7 years in Karnataka.[Not applicable for OCI (Overseas Citizens of India), PIO (Person of Indian Origin), and Foreign Nationals].
NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the Programme for candidates who:
- Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
- NRI and candidates who have applied under the NRI category.
The Management / University does not collect any type of Capitation fees / Donation other than the fees mentioned above.
Programme Objectives
- To prepare students coming from undergraduate programmes for the MCA programme.
- To equip students with the necessary coding skills required to join the industry, the institute will hold a bridge course in coding.

Documents Required
Selected candidates must first update the following documents on their admission portal before the interview. The admitted students must submit the original documents at the Admin Office:
- Class 10th Certificate (High School) and Marks Card
- Class 11th Certificate and Marks Card
- Class 12th Certificate (Senior Secondary School) and Marks Card
- Undergraduate Marks Cards and Convocation Certificate
- Transfer Certificate from last qualified institution
- Migration Certificate if the candidate is outside Karnataka state
- Two passport-size photographs and one stamp-size photograph in formal dress with a white background
- Two Photocopies of the Online Payment Receipt
- Valid ID proof such as Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID Card
Candidates belonging to any of these categories -PIO / OCI / SAARC / FOREIGN NATIONALS-must submit the following documents:
- Photocopy of Passport and Visa Details
- Copy of PIO / OCI card (whichever is applicable and available at the time of admission)
- Certificate of Medical Fitness from an approved medical practitioner accredited by the Medical Council of India
- Resident Permit (If available)
