Biomolecules in BreakfastClass ActivityIn the first class of BT7124 - Biochemistry module, groups of students are asked to list the breakfast items that they consumed in the past week. Each group then dissects the breakfast items into different categories according to the biomolecules present in the food, eg, carbohydrates, fats, proteins etc. They are then asked to do a very quick research to find out the specific subtype of their listed biomolecule, find their chemical composition and structure and one biological relevant function. All the groups collate their data into a poster and do a very short presentation. The idea of this activity is to quickly orient students to the basics of biochemistry so that their learning path can become a bit easier for this module.Students of I Sem of MSc Biotechnology
