Admission & Selection Process
Admission Process : The applicants must fill in complete information on the online application form and upload all required certificates (whatever is available) and photos.
Selection Process : The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. There are two rounds in the interview. Once the final interview is over, candidates have to pay their programme fee within 3 days and the mode of payment must be online. The dates of the interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates and will be announced on the website.
Eligibility
- A candidate should have passed the Examination conducted by the Pre-University Board, Karnataka, or any other examination considered equivalent and should have studied Lifescience as core subjects.
- Students in undergraduate programmes must study two languages, one of which must be English and the other can be either an Indian language or a foreign language other than English. The University offers the following language courses: Introductory Kannada, Introductory French, Introductory Spanish, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Sanskrit, French, Additional English and German.
- CBSE and ISC students, as well as those who have not studied a second language at the plus-two level, are encouraged to opt for Introductory Kannada, Introductory French, Introductory Spanish, or German. These are taught from the introductory level and require no prior acquaintance. Only those students who have not learnt these languages either in school or in classes XI or XII are eligible to enrol for these introductory-level courses as a second language.
- Students require PUC/XII-level competence to study Sanskrit, Kannada, Tamil, Hindi, and French courses.
- Additional English is intended for students who have significant difficulties learning other languages.

Note:
- Please note: if admitted, the fee must be paid in full within the time prescribed in the Admit Intimation.
- To claim the Karnataka category fee, the candidates should have studied the last 7 years in Karnataka.[Not applicable for OCI (Overseas Citizens of India), PIO (Person of Indian Origin), and Foreign Nationals].
NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the Programme for candidates who:
- Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
- NRI and candidates who have applied under the NRI category.
The Management / University does not collect any type of Capitation fees / Donation other than the fees mentioned above.

Programme Scope
This programme merges plant biology, animal biology, and environmental science to understand biodiversity, ecosystems, and sustainable resource use.
Graduates are equipped to:
- Enter higher studies in ecology, conservation, environmental science, wildlife biology, botany, and zoology.
- Conduct ecological surveys, biodiversity assessments, and environmental monitoring.
- Analyse ecosystem processes and biodiversity challenges.
- Work in conservation NGOs, forest services, EIA consultancies, wildlife organisations, and botanical/zoological institutions.
- Appear for JAM, GATE (ES), CSIR-NET, and government roles in forestry and environment.
