Arrupe Nivas Jesuit Faculty Residence

Arrupe Nivas is a vibrant and diverse community of Jesuit faculty members, administrators, and students from different parts of the world. The construction of the residence was completed in the year 2000 and is located in the North wing of St. Joseph`s University campus on Langford Road- Bengaluru. The Faculty residence is presently composed of 22 members who bring together perspectives and expertise from varied academic disciplines, including the social sciences, natural sciences, computer sciences, media studies, business studies, research and development in addition to archival and record management. As a community of administrators, educators and learners, Arrupe Nivas is committed to living out the Jesuit values of intellectual inquiry, spiritual growth, social concern and Civic engagement. While the members have a demonstrated history in education management they simultaneously oversee the day-to-day operations of the residence while fostering spiritual growth and ensuring a supportive environment for all its companions. This is in conjunction with our modus vivendi which is centred on Cura Personalis – translated to care for the whole person and Cura Apostolica – The care for our mission and its collaborators. Our administrators include the Rector, who is also the Pro Chancellor of the University and his team of consultors who tend to the spiritual and material needs of all at Arrupe Nivas Jesuit Faculty Residence. We invite you to visit Arrupe Nivas to learn more about us and the activities we are engaged in.
