Lateral Entry Admissions 2025-2026

SJU Lateral Entry Admission – Overview

  • Students who have successfully completed their 1st year (Ist and 2nd Semester) UG and PG and have the required credentials can apply for lateral entry admission at St Joseph’s University for the 2nd year (III Semester) UG and PG of the academic year 2025-26. For extraordinary cases, lateral admission for the 3rd year (Vth Semester), UG will be considered.

SJU Lateral Entry Admission Dates

  • Lateral Entry Admissions starts on 27th May, 2025. The last date to send the duly filled application form is 10th June, 2025.
  • Please print the form that is relevant to you, fill it up, scan and send it by email to registraroffice@sju.edu.in. If eligible and vacancies are available, you will be called for an offline interview after June 10, 2025. Please ensure you write your email ID legibly, as the offline interview details will be sent to this email. You are expected to be present with your parents for the offline interview.

SJU Lateral Entry Eligible Criteria

Candidates seeking lateral entry should have completed the Ist year UG and PG course as per the following structure:

  • Language I
  • Language II
  • Three Core subjects and which are also available at St Joseph's University. If the title of the courses/papers does not match those offered in our university, then the candidate may be asked to provide the syllabus from the institution last studied. The Dean of the respective school of the university will verify the same and give feedback for further action.
  • Applicants are required to review the syllabus for the course intended to apply and the second languages offered in our university, prior to submitting the application for Lateral Admission to the second year

Incomplete forms will be rejected.
