Hostel

St Joseph’s University Hostel in Bengaluru has magnificently designed hostel for men with all necessary amenities for boarding and other recreational activities. The hostel has its own Canteen to provide healthy and hygienic food to the students. The Canteen is maintained on a co-operative basis.


Architecture

The hostel block building, a semi circular -crescent-shaped stone building, built in 1948 is a remarkable specimen of architecture. The semi-circular building, as distinctive in its architecture as the other College buildings, had a hundred and twenty single rooms and four large halls, one of which is a prayer hall. Two of these halls were later converted into cubicles, thus augmenting the available accommodation to a hundred and eighty. Currently, the hostel can house 220 students only.

 

 

Ejipura Hostel(St. Berchman’s Hostel)
The University also has another hostel for boys at Ejipura about 6 kilometers away from the University campus.
This hostel can accommodate 20 boys. This hostel has dormitory facilities. A canteen facility will be arranged for dinner only.

 

 

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

  • Male students who have secured admission to the University may apply for either hostel through an application form available on the University website.
  • Hostel Admissions only provided for Shift 1 and Shift 2 students
  • Admission for students to the Hostel is only given for an Academic Year
  • The application fee is not refundable in any case
  • New admissions are only for first-year students.
  • Please login with the email ID registered in the University Applicant Login. Only students who have paid the academic fee and have got the provisional admission are eligible to apply. 
  • Upon admission to the hostel, the candidate must submit a signed consent form to the hostel office at the beginning of the academic year.
