Eligibility Criteria (Qualifying Examinations):
1)The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognised Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.
2)Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognised Board/ University.
3)Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
4) Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognised as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or the UGC.
5)General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.
6)High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.
7) If the candidate has passed any other course, they will have to produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) or the UGC to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination.
Eligibility Criteria (Subjects):
The candidate should have studied Physics and Mathematics (calculus-based) in the qualifying examination.
Note: Candidates who have studied Business Mathematics, Basic Mathematics etc. are INELIGIBLE
8) Students of undergraduate programmes must study two languages, out of which one shall be English and the other shall be either an Indian language or a foreign language other than English. However, with special permission from the Vice-Chancellor, students can select Additional English as a foreign language.
- The University offers the following language courses: Introductory Kannada, Introductory French, Introductory Spanish, Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Sanskrit, French, and German.
- CBSE and ISC students and others who have not studied a second language at the plus two level can opt for Introductory Kannada, Introductory French, Introductory Spanish or German. German is taught from the introductory level and requires no prior acquaintance. For Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and French, students need PUC/ XII level competence to handle UG Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and French courses.
