About the Programme

BCom Industry Integrated curriculum is designed in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Students study one course in each semester designed by TCS.

BCom Industry Integrated curriculum is designed in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Students study one course each semester designed by TCS. These subjects are delivered by faculty who are trained and certified by TCS. The programme aims at developing professionals to meet the industry requirements in India and Abroad. Upon successful completion of the programme, TCS offers placement assistance to students depending on their performance in the interview.

The Programme is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of Commerce education and to train the students in communication skills effectively and inculcate entrepreneurship skills and decision-making capabilities.

The Programme also includes practical exposure in the form of case studies, projects, presentations, industrial visits and interaction with experts from the industry.

It facilitates students to acquire adequate knowledge in the field of Banking, Financial Services and Insurance, Financial Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Cost Accounting, Marketing, Business laws, International Business, Quantitative Methods, Research, Entrepreneurial Development and Operations Management.

Selected candidates must first update the following documents on their admission portal before the interview. The admitted students must submit the original documents at the Admin Office:

  • Class 10th Certificate (High School) and Marks Card
  • Class 11th Certificate and Marks Card
  • Class 12th Certificate (Senior Secondary School) and Marks Card
  • Transfer Certificate from last qualified institution
  • Migration Certificate except for the Karnataka State Board applicants 
  • Two passport-size photographs and one stamp-size photograph in formal dress with a white background
  • Two Photocopies of the Online Payment Receipt
  • Valid ID proof such as Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Voter ID Card

Candidates belonging to any of these categories -PIO / OCI / SAARC / FOREIGN NATIONALS-must submit the following documents:

  • Photocopy of Passport and Visa Details
  • Copy of PIO / OCI card (whichever is applicable and available at the time of admission)
  • Certificate of Medical Fitness from an approved medical practitioner accredited by the Medical Council of India

Admission process: The applicants must fill in complete information on the online application form and upload all required certificates (whatever is available) and photos.

Selection process: The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. There are two rounds in the interview. Once the final interview is over, candidates have to pay their programme fee within 24 hours and the mode of payment must be online. The dates of the interview will be communicated to the shortlisted candidates and will be announced on the website

  • Candidates who have completed two-years of Pre-University programme in Karnataka state or its equivalent are eligible for admission to this programme.
  • Students of undergraduate programmes except B.Voc. must study two languages, out of which one shall be English and the other shall be either an Indian Language or a Foreign language other than English. However, with special permission from the Vice Chancellor, students can select Additional English. 
  • The University offers the following Language courses: Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Sanskrit,  Introductory Kannada, French: German, Introductory French, and Spanish. 
  • Applicants selecting Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Sanskrit, and French must have studied these languages at the plus two level or have achieved A2 level certification in the case of French . Introductory Kannada, German, Introductory French and Spanish are taught from scratch and do not require prior knowledge of the language.
  • CBSE/ISC students and those from other boards who have not studied a second language iat the plus two level,  and others who have not studied Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Sanskrit, and French may select select Additional English,  Introductory Kannada, German, Introductory French or Spanish

  •  To claim the Karnataka category fee, the candidates should have studied the last 7 years in Karnataka.[Not applicable for OCI (Overseas Citizens of India), PIO (Person of Indian Origin), and Foreign Nationals].
  • ** To all candidates except those who have passed the 12th examinations conducted by the Karnataka Pre-University Board.

NRI fee is applicable for the full duration of the Programme for candidates who:

  • Have pursued and completed their last qualifying exam from outside India.
  • NRI and candidates who have applied under the NRI category.

Programme Objectives

  • The  BCom programme aims at developing a student’s intellectual ability, executive personality, and wide spectrum of managerial skills along with competency-buildingng qualities in specific areas of business studies.
  • To make sustained efforts for the holistic development of the students and thereby empower them to ably face the challenges posed by changing business environment
  • The programme also seeks to prepare students to be job-ready or drive entrepreneurship initiatives or higher education in business at home and abroad.
  • To inculcate a spirit of Ethics and Social Commitment in the personal and professional life of management graduates so that they add value to society.

  • Acquire knowledge of business operations, develop business acumen and managerial skills and be capable of comprehensively managing the finance function.
