In Optional English, through a wide-ranging exposure to literary texts, students will build a thoroughgoing acquaintance with general principles of Linguistics and a range of vocational competencies including writing, effective communication, critical-thinking skills and so on. The programme draws on the fact that Psychology is a particularly rich source of material for the media. Some of the most significant and high-profile news items are about Psychology.
