About the Programme

This programme brings together future journalists and sociological researchers who both study society and write or film reports about their findings.

This programme brings together future journalists and sociological researchers who both study society and write or film reports about their findings. While journalism focuses on daily newsworthy topics and may follow hourly and weekly developments; sociology helps students go further and take the long-term view of significant social events and the sociological impact of single events. Political science establishes laws that significantly impact the welfare of the population. Sociology serves as a source of data and provides the foundational basis for these laws and policies. The relationship between sociology and political science is dynamic and mutually beneficial. Although they originated as separate disciplines, they have since evolved to complement one another in the analysis of complex social and political phenomena. Political journalism represents a comprehensive domain of journalism that encompasses the coverage of all facets of politics and political science.
