Background and National Initiative

The Ministry of Education (MoE) launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) program in 2018 in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This program is designed to systematically promote innovation and create a start-up-friendly environment in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) across India. By establishing IICs, the MoE aims to create a sustainable framework that supports the creative potential of students and faculty, empowering them to become drivers of innovation and entrepreneurship.
