Objectives of the IIC at St Joseph’s University

Promote an Innovation-Driven Culture: The IIC is committed to fostering an environment that encourages students, faculty, and staff to think innovatively. Through workshops, seminars, and ideathons, the council nurtures a mindset that welcomes creativity and encourages the exploration of new solutions to real-world problems.

  1. Facilitate Entrepreneurship Development: The council works towards providing the necessary support for turning innovative ideas into successful entrepreneurial ventures. This includes offering guidance, mentorship, and networking opportunities, as well as creating linkages with industry experts and start-up incubators.
  2. Engage the Academic Community in Innovation Activities: The IIC actively engages faculty members, students, and staff in various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities throughout the year. These activities range from idea competitions, hackathons, and prototype development to start-up pitching sessions and business model workshops.
